A critical text written by Jeong Yakyong (1762-1836) that criticizes the administrators’ tyranny, while providing guidelines for the administrators that they must abide by. He wrote it while he was exiled in Gangjin, Jeollanam-do. His classical Chinese poem, “Aejeoryang” (Lamenting the Self-Imposed Castration) reveals the impoverished state and the despair of the people that was caused by the corruption in the Three Major Fiscal Administrations.
